Procedure
With Dead Link Checker the following sites are tested:
Findings
The average speed of this broken link checker is 8 links per second.
The maximum number of links being tested is 2000.
Slow websites are tolerated when they respond within 15 seconds.
Unknown status codes (LinkedIn!) are considered an error.
Jon of DLC websites made some comments regarding this test. The changed results are marked as bold.
The requirement "Allows you to save the results (internal or by an CSV export)" is now marked as PASSED. When you use the free Multi-Checker option you might select the "auto send report on completion" option. When set, the test results will be mailed to you.
This Multi-Checker is very handy when you want to test multiple websites at once.
Note that Dead Link Checker follows redirected links, however when the destination is good then no report is issued.
